La Corte baptism

Post by jml1991 »

Can anyone read the name of the child on the attached baptismal record, dated 1738, from Prizzi, Sicily? The parents are Giuseppe La Corte and Calogera (no surname given for her). I believe it might be the baptismal record for my ancestor, but I am unable to read the first name, which looks like it is followed by "Antonino Fortunato". Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

Maybe "Petrus"?

Quite possibly. It does look like it begins with a "P". My ancestor, who would have been born about that time, was Giorgio La Corte and I was hoping it might be his baptismal information, but I guess I'll have to keep looking!
Thank you for your help! Much appreciated!
