Translation of birth record

Post by vcutrie »

I am looking for help in translating this birth record. I believe the Caterina Cutri mentioned is my 4th great grandmother but cannot tell what/if their is any relation to the child. I am not certain if she is the mother or perhaps midwife? It appears the child, Diego does not have a known father. Any insight in the relationship would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

Caterina Cutri declared the birth of the child. She was a Filanderia (spinner/weaver) aged 50 who was living in Plati. There is nothing to indicate that she was related to Diego.

Diego's father was not known, and I'm understanding Diego's mother's name to be Nicolina? Sacco. Diego was born at 12.00 on 5 September 1810.

Angela :)
