twins??

Post by renlady »

Hi, I need help with a birth record which I think may be twins as same parents are listed on each birth record sequentially. It is for Nunzio Pitrisi son of Antonio listed first and Benedetto son of Antonio in the next entry below Nunzio. I have included a link below and also attached an image.

thanks again for all of your work
cathy

Yes, both records refer to “gemelli”, which means twins. As I see it, the first record refers to a twin in the next record and the second record with a twin in the preceding record.

Antonio was a miller ("mugnaio"). As to Angela, his wife, the record shows no occupation noted. Maybe someone else will translate the portion below the newborn's name, as I think this might be relevant to the declarant and/or birth in general.
