Please review the link for record number 9 for Antonio Ricciardi. What is Antonio’s father’s first name and his mother’s last name? There appears to me a notation of a marriage along the side that I cannot read as well.

The surname here is Riccardo. The father's given name is Francomagro (very rare). The mother is Maria La Grotta.
On he married Carmela De Paola on 12 June 1924

I too noticed the last name spelled Riccardo but I thought it could be a clerical error since I have never run across another Riccardo in Chiaromonte however I have found that all but one Ricciardi to have the same common ancestor who was born in Chiaromonte in about 1771.

I checked the marriage publication for a marriage of Francomagro and Maria thinking the marriage could have taken place elsewhere but could not locate one. There are no birth records for Francomagro or Maria in Chiaromonte within five years of their birth as shown on Antonio’s record.

Unless you or someone else can offer another avenue of research I am going to assume they were born elsewhere and moved to Chiaromonte shortly before Antonio’s birth.
