Antonio Guarino (1862-1938) Villarosa, Enna, Sicilia

I’m looking for information on Antonio Guarino ( and spouse), b. abt. 1862 in Villarosa, Enna, Sicilia, m. Guiseppa D’Angelo (1867- ), son George Calogero b. 8 Apr 1888 in same town, son James Vincenzo b. 22 Mar 1900 in same town. Perhaps emigrated into New York City, arriving 30 Mar on the ship Sicilian Prince (no other family members on passenger list, unsure what that means).
Guiseppa’s place and exact date of birth, parents and other family members are unknown.

I believe this is Antonio and son Calogero's 1903 ship manifest on the vessel Hohenzollern, lines 21 and 22. Both last residence Villarosa. Antonio joining brothers Saverio & Salvatore in South Furth? PA; Calogero to brother in law Stefano Siciliano in Johnstown PA.

Based on Giuseppa's age on her manifest this could be her 1862 Catania birth act.

Presented on the 11th of November at the town hall by father Vincenzo D'Angelo, 31, a farmer, who stated that on the 9th of November was born a female child from his wife Domenica R(?)izzo, 28, whom he gave the name Giuseppa.

Antonio & Giuseppa's marriage act would verify Antonio's baptismal record as well as Giuseppa's Catania birth act above since it will have their parents' names.

This one is a bit confusing. The children I have for Guiseppa and Antonio are George Calogero and James Vincenzo, but I didn't have any record of a daughter Carmela.

This one could be another Antonio and Calogero. There's another family, Antonio and wife Josephine Parlato, who appear in Buffalo, NY in the 1900 Census, with the arrival date as 1894. And again in the 1920 Census in Pittsburgh, PA with the same names, and 13 children including some of the same names. And in the 1930 Census, Josephine is widowed. I recall getting these families mixed up before.

Carmela Guarino's 24 Apt 1909 marriage to Giuseppe Tartaglia. She was only 17 and married two years after she emigrated. If you have the Guarino family 1910 census n Rochester, this explains why Carmela is not listed.

A late reply, but I found a death certificate that lists mother's maiden name as Domenica Vizzo.
