's what happens when you listen to Family "Stories" told . . .

Post by KathyLPV »

Hi, I'm back, had problems with my Email addy &/or Password. Haven't been in since Feb 2016 -18?
Which is why I never responded to either of you - Still, Thank You muchly!
1 Any ole who, I did find my bis-bisnonni Gherardo Lo PINTO,b 1803 & Teresa La Bolita marriage records! & back to his parents Don Giuseppe Lo PINTO & Donna Pasquala LAUNIA [LANRIA?] in San Chirico Raparo, Potenza, Basilicata, IT - Not Bagheria, Sicilia!!! I found it on LDS site.
2 And also about that "Alberto" [IT record has Amberto VIgnolini as you said]. So, I went to the NYC Municipal Archives, ran into a professional Genealogist, who found an US Alien file, 1941, on "Alberto" - sent for the file, & viola, there he is, Non-citizen, with "living relative, brother Gustavo!

So another wrong story, if he was alive in 1841! Moral, "Never depend on stories told." Get the facts.
Thanks So Very Much to Marty & Livio Moreno & All the great folks here. SO glad to be back.

3 But, I'm still looking for bisnonno Ferdinando GRASSI; DOB 1840 in Otranto Lecce Puglia; DOD yr? in Napoli. He's No where to be found. & sent to Ann Tatangelo for the "long" record of their marriage, & got bisnonna Emilia PACILEO & Ferdinando's parents, & a few of their siblings & DOB's [in Napoli only]. I also wrote Lecce & Brindisi Ufficio Stato di Civile, Lecce had zip 1835-45 DOB, & Brindisi never responded. Oh well, never said it would be easy, long distance.
ITA: Palermo Bagheria MAGGIORE, FICANO, Lo PINTO; Otranto Napoli GRASSI, SERGIO, PACILEO, VERDOLINI [VERDOLVIA]; Prato VIGNOLINI, BINI; Pessaro PALAZZI; ACQUISTA, ARCANGELO; IRE BEATTIE; PRUSIA SCHULSKY; HOFF, MAMMELSDORF; NIX, GIESEN; HAUSER, ACKERMAN
