January 25, 1838 in Santo Stefano, appeared Giuseppe Francesco Cincotta, age 28, born and domiciled in this Comune, laborer, son of the late Domenico (Cincotta) of this Comune, and of Maria Famalaro, domiciled in this town, and Grazia Rosalia Todaro, 21, born in the Comune, daughter of Domenico (Todaro) domiciled in this Comune, and of Santa Morello, domiciled in this Comune, who in the presence of witnesses requested to be married.
The parish record to the right states that the celebration of marriage was carried out on January 28, 1838.

Could Maria's last name be Famularo?
I see it says something Piscitello, can you tell me what it says?

It definitely could be Famularo. That letter could be clearer. The parish record says that the wedding was in the presence of witnesses Sebastiano Piscitello and Antonino Torcivia.

I have a question. In records such as these, does it always have the middle name of the person, or does that depend on the person writing it down?

I would say they typically would put down the middle name if there was one but, in my experience, in most places in small-town Italy in that era the great majority of people only had one name.
