My Husbands grandfather was Giovanni Andrea Alfino and he was married to a woman by the name of Effie Johanna Jones,we are trying to track where he came from before they settled (Sicily,Messina etc) in Cape Town.
Apparently he met Effie in Cape Town but it is said that her family to was Italian and might have went by the surname Talla?
Does anybody have info on this, he died in 1963 and she died in 29 May 1965.
