Translating Peculiar Marriage Act

Post by Tanner »

Hello,

I'm looking for a translation of the marriage act below, the marriage of Nicola Sforza and Ippolita Angiuli from 1885. Nicola is a distant cousin (2nd cousin 6x removed). He had two children with Ippolita before their marriage. Illegitimate births have been very rare in my family tree so I'm hoping the marriage act may provide some information.

Here is the document, on the right: http://dl.antenati.san.beniculturali.it ... ewsIndex=0

The script at the bottom seems to provide some infroamtion, I notcied the names of the children listed so that looked promising. Any help is appreciated!

1885 Feb 12 in Toritto
G: Nicola Sforza, 27yo, farmer, born and living in Toritto, son of deceased Gennaro and deceased Dorotea Morgele
B: Ippolita Angiuli, 25yo, spinner, born and living in Toritto, daughter of Francesco and Teresa Florio, both living in Toritto
The spouses also legitimized two children:
Gennaro Sforza born Jan 25 1882 Act#76 (http://dl.antenati.san.beniculturali.it ... ewsIndex=0)
Dorotea Sforza born July 20 1884 Act#194 (http://dl.antenati.san.beniculturali.it ... ewsIndex=0)
(In both birth acts Nicola declares that the baby was born due to the illegittimate union with Ippolita - Both record have an annototian showing that they were legitimized with the marriage)
