Rionero in Vulture Birth Record Translation 1978

This site enabled me to find this record online after MUCH prior effort. Who knew that the records for Rionero in Vulture were actually under Melfi?!

But I found my great grand dad. He never wanted to talk about his Italian family, but we did know he was born on July 13, 1978 and that his parents were Giovanni and Irene Larisa.

The million dollar question for generations has been -- was he a "door step" baby, as we knew of no bothers or sisters and think he may have been adopted. Our DNA also shows greek blood 10-15 percent so we think if he WAS adopted, one of his birth parents were from Greece.

SO, we hope there are some answers in the attached. A translation to English would be GREATLY appreciated!

According to this document, Carlo was a foundling, abandoned in the Wheel on Jul 13th, 1878.
The Registrar gave him name Carlo Larisa. He was given back to the Receiver of Foundlings, to be consigned to a woman (not mentioned) to be fed and raised.
