Grumo: 5 May 1810

(One of the declarants, Francesco Saverio Scarola, son of deceased Vito Scarola, 60 yo, contadino, living in the town of Grumo, Strada della Piscina della Terra, No 13, was the brother of the deceased, Fedele Scarola.)

Fedele Scarola, son of Vito, died today, 5 May 1810, 9 p.m. He lived in Grumo, Strada dietro il Convento, No 44, primo piano, (The street behind the Convent, No 44, First Floor). He was the husband of Francesca Manzaro, the daughter of Pasquale (Manzaro). He died leaving his wife, and four children: Vito 25 yo, Angela 18 yo, Giovanni 15 yo, Rosa 11 yo.

Thank you. I wonder why his mother was not mentioned.

Not sure. It's often a mixed bag with these earlier records as to what information is recorded, although I notice the next record has both parents. The clerk also hasn't recorded Fedele's age. Maybe, take a look for his brother Francesco's Death Record, just in case the clerk has muddled the name of the mother with the wife? I don't think so though because I notice that the second declarant was Angelo Antonio Manzaro, 40 yo, brotherinlaw (cognato) of the deceased. His father also was Pasquale, and he was a builder (falegname), living in Grumo, Strada Dietro il Convento, no 63. (I was on a small screen when I typed this up this morning and somehow missed this.) So, I would suggest that this Angelo Antonio Manzaro is brother to Francesca Manzaro.
