Help with Latin word on the death record for Joseph Antonio Negri

Post by jrbak »

Hello,
I am in need of assistance with the translation a word on this death record for Joseph Antonio Negri. I cannot read the Latin word (?) prior to Domenico from Giovanni Battista Negri. Is Domenico deceased here? The record in question is the second one on the left side of the page. Thank you for your reply.

Hi Jefferie

I'm reading "filius" i.e. "son of". So he was still alive. The word for deceased is "quondam" which literally means "formerly".

Dear AngelaGrace56,
Thank you so much for the word and its translation. I found these two records of Joseph Antonio, Domenico's father so I am researching to see which is the correct one. This helps me. Thank you.
