Translate faded marriage record

Post by rp76226 »

Thanks in advance for your help. Here is the revised link:

Also, two more pages follow this one. Is there any important information on them?

I have the church record too, but that omits the bride's maiden name and her parents. The groom is Carmelo Puma and his parents are Pietro Puma and Angela (or sometimes see as Anna) Agnella.

From the index for that year:

Bride: Salvatrice Agro', 17 (age on the document on your link), daughter of an unknown father, and Maria Agro'

Left hand side 4th from top.

Biff, in that index that you supplied, record #9, for the father, one of the three words is Agnello, which is a legitimate last name and Google Translate says Agnello means "lamb". So are you saying that the translation of those 3 words means "unknown father"?

The Agnello refers to the surname of the groom's mother. Pietro (Puma) was the father; Anna Agnello was the mother.
"Pietro e Agnello Anna" Pietro and Anna Agnello

For the bride Salvatrice, her father was unknown and her mother Maria Agro'
"Ignoto e Maria Agro'"

Thanks again. Was there any genealogical information on the next two pages? Also, on the original first page, what is the date of the marriage and also what is the translation of the two words in the section for the father of the bride. The first word to me looks like Padre. Also, can you read the age of all the parents?
