Birth Record Translation*

Post by jmazzu »

I believe this birth record is for Jospeha Mazzu Born July 18, 1874. Her father was Antonino and her Mother Francesca Cappolino. Can you confirm this information and tell me what other important information is in this record:

Also I have included the index for this entry below. I believe there are two other Mazzus in this index. Can you confirm that? Entry number 84 and 88?

Birth No 29: Nicolo Mazzu'

Montalbano di Elcona: 14 February 1874

Andrea Mazzu', son of Santi, 30 yo, trafficante, living this town, presented a baby boy, born from his wife, Rosalia Sacco', daughter of Nicola. The baby was born in the house they lived in Strada Piazza, 9 pm on 12 February 1874 and given the name Nicolo Mazzu'.

It looks like the spelling of the baby's name is Nicolo while the spelling of the father's name is Nicola. The name can be spelt either way for a male but more often I see it spelt Nicola

Birth No 68: Rosa Mazzu'

Montalbano di Elcona: 18 April 1874

Giuseppe Mazzu', son of Santi, 28 yo, lattaio, living/resident in this town, presented a baby girl,
born from his wife Giuseppa Russo, daughter of Giuseppe. The baby was born in this town, in the home they lived in Strada ?, at 7 am on 16 April 1874 and she was given the name Rosa Mazzu'.
