re:member created indexes for avellino & messina
are there any members here who have compiled indexes for comunes in the provinces of avellino and messina? indexes of nati, matrimoni, and morti. specifically for the comunes of lapio, luogosano, san mango sul calore, and taurasi in avellino, and for the comunes of barcellona pozzo di gotto, gualtieri sicamino, santa lucia del mela, and san filippo del mela in messina. thanks

Re: re:member created indexes for avellino & messina
thanks but not one i'm looking for. i see indexed databases for palermo,a major city, and for reggio calabria. thats it. i know theres a lot of work in indexing these records. but many of these comunes are very tiny and much less work than the bigger cities. the only large city would be barcellona pozzo di gotto in messina. indexes with numbered entries of birth, marriage, and death would make searching much easier.

I am indexing Montefredane and Grottolella:

You'll find the occasional person from Taurasi and maybe one or two from Lapio/San Mango (iirc) in these two towns but I have no plans in the future to include this town in my indices.

Re: re:member created indexes for avellino & messina
My website contains a searchable database of all the indexed birth, marriage and death records for Lapio (1809 - 1945). Working on finishing the Marriage Bann records now (1/3 done so far). I'm also working on creating a comprehensive family tree of all the Lapio families as well on Ancestry (link below). To search for records that reference other comunes, just type part of the comune name in the 'Other Comune' field. Click on a record row in the search results to show the detailed data. Let me know if I can help with your research in any way!
