Giving out family information/Power of Attorney

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Giving out family information/Power of Attorney

Post by Italiannextyear »

Hello all, new user here. Just starting to explore the possibility of obtaining Italian citizenship jure sanguinis.

It appears that I have a 1948 case and will therefore need to obtain legal counsel. I have reached out to a few attorneys with experience in this area (all recommendations welcome). A couple of them have requested a full history of the names of family members and dates of birth in order to receive a quote.

My first question is whether I would be exposing myself somehow by providing that information or if there is some reason why it would be necessary to provide that information.

Second, does anyone have any insights into the potential risks or issues I would be taking in signing a power of attorney. I have never hired a lawyer before so I am a bit paranoid of getting taken for a ride!

Hi!
Well, if you hire an Immigration Lawyer specialized on italian citizenship I think you can be totally safe on sharing all infos, if he/she is a good and professional lawyer.
I hired an italian law firm from italy, Law Firm Bersani, suggested from others and excellently quoted for 1948 cases. They are following my case step-by-step, and I feel they really take care on each case.
You can contact them from their website mbersanilaw.com
:) hope it helps!
Cheers

Hello, I think you can be safe to share all details with your italian citizenship lawyer. In case you need, I suggest the one I've hired for my italian citizenship 1948 case, "law firm Bersani" from Verona, Italy. You can google them and contact them. Highly recommend them!
cheers
