La Grua Talamanca Family

Post by scraig32 »

I am needing help figuring out who a few people are in this La Grua Talamanca page

http://www.genmarenostrum.com/pagine-le ... amanca.htm

Can someone tell me who A1. Giliberto La Grua Talamanca and A2. Giovanni (+ premorto al fratello Giliberto) are the children of? I am having trouble with the very first three people at the top of the page and can't tell who is married to who and who their children are. I understand the rest of the page.

Ubertino La Grua
Ilaria La Grua
Ubertino Talamanca

Thank you so very much for your help!!

I'd say:

First generation: Ubertino La Grua, married Isabella Imperatore
Second generation: Ilaria La Grua, married Giliberto Talamanca
Third generation: Ubertino Talamanca, married Diana Castagna
Fourth generation: Giliberto, and Giovanni La Grua Talamanca, brothers (Giovanni "premorì"="died before" Giliberto)

Then, you can follow the letters: for every person marked by a letter, the next letter in the alphabet means "child of".
Giuseppe "Pippo" Moccaldi

This helps so much!!! I can see now the relation. Ubertino La Grua did not have any sons. His daughter Ilaria La Grua married a Talamanca. I have since found a historical document that says that Ubertino made his son in law promise to add the name La Grua to all future generations. Now I see why everyone has the name La Grua Talamanca. Thank you for telling me what Premori means. I see it several places and did not understand it. Thank you a million!!! Suzanne
