hi all, it's been a long while since I have come to the forum, hope you're all well and good in these weird and rather scary times.
I watched a World War related program tonight and thought about this... I do know of one relative that happened to take part in both conflicts. His name was Vincenzo Sparice, born in Napoli in 1898, and who was sent to the front not once but twice.
any idea where I could find some information about this?
I do know he was decorated on his return from one of the wars, though right now I don't really remember which.
any help is HUGELY appreciated.

Someone born in 1898 would have been over 40 at the start of the Second World War. That is relatively old for front line infantry. I think if you see his foglio matricolare, you might find that he was Fanteria (infantry) in the First World War but Genio (field engineer) in the Second World War -- on the front lines, but in a secondary role.
