Re: Translation of Birth Registry for Maria Laerzio
July 22, 1881 at the town hall in Orsogna appeared Maria Giuseppa Curti, age 70, midwife, domiciled in Orsogna, who declared that at 8:15 p.m. on July 22, in the home at #4 Borgo al Romano, Filomena Damiano, farmer, wife of Diogene Laerzio, farmer, both domiciled in Orsogna, gave birth to a female child who was presented to me and to whom was given the name of Maria, and who is the twin of another child who is in the preceding act.
Witnesses were Vincenzo Pica, age 31, farmer, and Filippo Galante, ate 70, farmer, both residents of Orsogna. The declarant reported the birth in place of the husband Damiano, who was far from town and she attested that the child was the second one born.

Re: Translation of Birth Registry for Maria Laerzio
I was wondering if you could help me with this: I am trying to obtain the military documents from my grandfather and my great grandfather.
I know my grandfather served in the Italian military before he came to the U.S. He lived in Monte San Guiliano (Erice). I have a form: A Comando Militare Esercito "Sicilia" - Ufficio Documentale to fill out. It has to be sent by email. It asks for revenue stamps E 0.26 per page for photo reproduction. I live in the U.S. so how do I get revenue stamps? I can get euros at my bank and there is an address on the form (Piazza del Parliament 5, 90134-Palermo). Can I just mail the form there and insert euros in an envelope?
Thank you very much!

I would like to get copies of them but how do I get the revenue stamps (don't know what they are) to pay for the documents?
