June 22, 1908 at town hall in Ari appeared Vincenza Centosanti, age 48, midwife, domiciled in Ari, who declared that at 10:05 a.m. on June 19, in the home in #146 Borgo San Pietro, Elisabetta Laerzio, daughter of Diogene (Laerzio), wife of Vitale Passeri (son of unknown parents), both farmers who are residents of Ari, gave birth to a female child who was presented to me and to whom was given the name of Vitalina.

Witnesses were Giuseppe Macchia, age 63, land owner, and Vincenzo D’Aurizio, age 41, clerk, both residents of Ari.

The declarant reported the birth instead of the husband of Elisabetta Laerzio because she assisted in the birth and he could not report it because of being temporarily absent from town.
