Re: Translation of Birth Registry for Maria Licari
In Suppl. 2 Index, ? #797 lists Maria Licari with father as Filippo on the side but the dates don't correspond to her birthdate.

Re: Translation of Birth Registry for Maria Licari
Now I am confused. My great grandmother was married to Giuseppe Giacalone because I have met them, therefore, #797 is not correct. Their marriage
registry:

Image 119 #236 lists Filippo as her father and Amorosa Licari as her mother. Was Vito listed as her father in error with entry #1237? If,so, how the Stati Civile know to put Filippo as her father? The birth date listed was December 14, 1876 which matches #1237.
Thank you!

Re: Translation of Birth Registry for Maria Licari
#797 is probably not in error, as it also has the notation of her marriage later on. If there were an error there, it likely would have been corrected. Perhaps 1237 is hers but has an error. Did she marry in Italy? You might get clarity on the marriage records.

Re: Translation of Birth Registry for Maria Licari
Maria Licari married in Italy. It has her father listed as Filippo Licari and mother as Amorosa Licari. She married Giuseppe Giacalone which I know is a fact because I have met them.
Her Marriage Registry: http://dl.antenati.san.beniculturali.it ... 1.jpg.html
Her birth registry # 1237, I assume, put Vito as her father in error.
