1896 Death No 24: Antonio Maritano
Borgone: 19 October 1896

Appearing were Stefana Davi, 32 yo, serviente (attendant), living in Borgano, and Giurdina? Binno, 45 yo, living in ?. They reported that at 2 am today, in the house in Frazione Valentino, Antonio Maritano, 76 yo?, a contadino, living in Borgone, born in Valgioie died. He was the son of the deceased Domenico, a contadino, who had lived in Valgioie, and of the deceased Giovanna Vincenza Gioana, who had lived in Valgioie, and the husband of Angela Listello.

Antonio's age in the record looks more like 96? Another set of eyes would help.

Thank you once again, Angela, will check message, this certainly fills a gap and will hopefully help me find more siblings, family members etc as I had struggled to find his mothers name. Two new family surnames added now, Croce and Gioana,

This forum is amazing with the amount of help given and so quickly,

have a lovely day,
John

Very happy to have helped. Yes, this is a great forum!!!

I'm so pleased that you had found their daughter's second marriage which mentioned their change of residence to Borgone. After going through all the death records earlier, I had a feeling they may have moved from Sant'Ambrogio. We may not have known this if it hadn't been for that remarriage.

Take care.

Fantastic! Thank you for tidying this up, Livio. I found it quite a hard read.
