January 10, 1846 before comune officials in Orsogna appeared Filippo di Benedetto, age 55, farmer, domiciled in Orsogna, who presented a male child and declared that it was born of Brigida di Rico, age 25, and Vincenzo di Benedetto, son of the declarant, on January 8 in their home. The child was given the name of Giovanni.

On the right margin it indicates that Giovanni di Benedetto was baptized on January 10, 1846 in the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore.

On the left side it says
January 5 of the current year, in Orsogna marriage was celebrated between Giovanni di Benedetto of Francavilla al Mare and Anna di Viriglio* of Canosa Sannita, Chieti. November 21, 1871. (I think November 21 is when the marriage notation was made but it occurred several months earlier.)

*This is how it is spelled here, but the actual marriage record says Virgilio.
