Alcamo marriage for Giacomo Merendino

Post by cj11788 »

Hello and Merry Christmas,

The link and attachment is the 1598 Alcamo marriage for Giacomo Merendino and Contessa Casarubea.

His parents are the deceased Battista and Antonia but is that Antonia's last name right after her name? If so then what is it?

Her parents are the living Santo and Filippa from Alcamo. Whats right after that on the next line?

Thanks

Chris

"q(uon)dam Battista e Ant(oni)na viventi"
deceased Battista and living Antonina

"se li piaceva contrarre matrimonio"
"(asked them) if they wanted to get married"
I wouldn't be sure about bride's and her father's name (maybe Salvatore?)
