Hello,
I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. My grandfather, Gaspare Ferrara, arrived in NY in 1906. I found his passenger record and have been searching Ancestry and other websites for any information on him. I've ordered an inquiry from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services and am waiting on results to see if he ever naturalized.
I would like to know how to get a copy of his birth certificate. His last place of residence was Sambuca. I have no idea how where to start, so I hope someone can direct me.
Next I'll be researching my grandmother who arrived from Ariano.
Thank you so very much!
Deb
