Re: Cause of death
I believe it is:
di morte violenta, per effetto di una grossa rupe cascata, trovandosi di abbasso per raccogliere legni ove restò sottorrata della rovina nella contrada Maio.
I would say that's something like:
Of a violent death, from the effect of a large falling rock, she being below gathering wood where she remained trapped under the rubble.

The image doesn't display like it normally does, but if you click on "immagine 11" by where the image should be, it will load properly. It's a death record. Normally death causes are not listed, but I have seen them sometimes where they die a non-standard death. I have a relative who was listed as dying from a traumatic blow at the hands of another man. I have also seen it said that someone died in battle in the war.

Re: Cause of death
Sill can''t get it to work.
I have a male ancestor who died at home in Sicily in 1899 at age 38. I've wondered about the cause of death, given his age. Nothing about cause of death on the death record, and church records have been destroyed by earthquakes.
So, it's going to remain an unsolved mystery.

Re: Cause of death
Yeah, I see it now.
Very rare to have cause of death, like that.
