Re: Marriage translation
Marriage No 1: Domenico D'Alessandro and Maria Senneca
Maddaloni: 20 February 1814
Groom: Domenico d’Alessandro, 27 yo, Corriere? (messenger), living in this town, Strada Santa Margarita, adult son of the deceased Giovanni d’Alessandro, as per the Death Act made in this town on 16 August 1797, and of Angela d’Angelo, 47 yo, Filatrice, living in this same town, here present, and who gave her consent.
Bride:
Maria Senneca, 20 yo, filatrice, living in this town, Strada Santa Margarita, minor daughter of Antonio Senneca, her father, 50 yo, calzolaio (cobbler), living with her daughter, and of Rosa Giullo (can't find) (or Ciullo which I can find), her mother, 50 yo, filatrice, living with her husband, who gave their consent
I'm reading Senneca (two n's in the record and also matches with the White Pages
Hopefully someone will check this over as the writing is a little tricky in places.
Angela

Re: Marriage translation
Thank you so much! When you say that you cant find them, do you mean in the white pages?

Re: Marriage translation
Yes, I was referring to the Italian White Pages but I was only referring to the surname Giullo as being the name I could not find. The name Ciullo is there (in the white pages) so I was wondering whether maybe the clerk heard "Gi" instead of "Ci" and wrote down Giullo. The best place to check really is the indices on the antenati site but because it is taking so long to load etc I didn't have time to do this. Finding other records pertaining to Maria Senneca would help to confirm the correct spelling of the surname.italianmutt wrote: 16 Apr 2021, 02:49 Thank you so much!
