Gioiosa Ionica Orphanage Records?
My Grandmother was Maria Rosa Prudente, born in Gioiosa Ionica. She always gave her birthday as April 12, 1888, but her marriage banns and emigration record point to 1886. For some reason, 1886 birth records are missing from Antenati. The marriage banns left her parents blank. She was raised by the Simari family, but retained her last name, so I guess she was not formally adopted. So, I wondered if those records are missing, and if there are some other places to look such as orphanage records. I assume that she was a Foundling. Prudente is not a local name. Thanks for suggestions.

It seems that births of 1886 are on FS, but only viewable at a Family History Center:

Family Centers are closed due to Covid. I contacted the LDS site in Los Angeles and someone checked out that film, but birth records for Gioiosa Ionica were not on it. Perhaps they were missing or damaged. That is why I am trying to figure out where else there might be a record of some kind.
