Can anyone tell me if the parents are listed for the Maria Anna Napolitano
This is the only death document I have for her- the Latin one attached to marriage banns of her daughter. I have tried to find her death record on Antenati with no luck.
She died September 23, 1821. I think it was in Palermo.
Second question, would her death record have been “omitted” from the indexes because she was the illegitimate daughter of a noble (a prince) man? Would he have had the power to do that (even though he was already deceased)? Napolitano is NOT the last name of the prince. I assume it is the last name of the family who “adopted her” or perhaps of the man that married her mother (if such a thing was done back then). Does anyone have any thoughts or insight about such a case>?
Thank you so much.

No they are not. It just mentions her husband's name i.e. Antonino and gives the surnames of his parents i.e. Perez and Grimaldi

Her name was located in the 10 year indices. The reason why it was not possible to locate her original death record and also her name listed in the indices for Sant'Agata is because death records for 1821 were, and still are, incomplete. They only go to end of July, as do the indices. I had another check and there didn't seem to be any deaths recorded post July for 1821. What I think may have happened was that when they were filming the records they didn't realise that there was a supplementary register for 1821 and omitted to film it, or maybe it had gone missing, or something else happened that year???

Re: Death of Maria Anna
Did you ever locate Marianna's marriage record?
I've searched for the church that her death record has come from but haven't located it. Maybe someone else can help with this. Having this would hopefully help to confirm her place of death.

Unfortunately, I never located her marriage record. I believe she married Antonino Perez before 1819 (that was the year of her daughter’s birth). And records for Palermo are not available on Antenati before 1820.
Forgive be for being dense, but what is the name of the church that her death record came from? I love that you are able to see it!!!!! Thank you so much Angela, as always!!
