Surname Deciphering

Post by Tanner »

I am perplexed by a surname of a man, first name is Giuseppe last name look like "Io" or "In" both of which would be very strange. I can't seem to make out anything else it can be. Here is the marriage act as well as his name listed in the index, #7:

Any ideas on what this name is?

It is definitely "In".

The Gensinfo surname map shows a very rare instance (less than 5) of the surname "In" in Lombardia...
