Deciphering parents names on 18th century parish marriage record - Molise region

Post by rfiorille »

Hoping someone can help confirm my deciphering the parents names in this marriage record of Giuseppe Fiorillo and Elisabetta Mastrodomenico. I'm reading:

Where I have (??) is where I thought they would have written the bride's name, but they didn't, unless they incorrectly wrote the bride's last name as 'di Gioia' and didn't list the groom's name. But I don't think that's the case. I just think they didn't write the bride's name before listing her parents. Does this seem correct?

I appreciate any help!

Ah, yes! Raimondo! Thank you Pippo! I saw the 'do' but foolishly decided to ignore it thinking that would somehow make it have no significance.

And the abbreviated d(ett)a before figlia gives me confidence that the name of the groom's mother was Elisabetta di Gioia and that the bride's name was not written before listing her parents. Thank you for the clarification. Very much appreciated!
