Post by teckat »

Appreciate the 1821 Birth Translation for the child of Giovanni and Cira. Male/ Female ?

The right side of page has some information shown with 1810 ??
Document very poorly written. :(

Birth No 40:
Registered Marineo: 15 February 1821

Appearing was Giovanni Gippetto, 24 yo, bracciale (day labourer) living in Marineo, in the neighbourhood of Sant’Antonio di Padova. He presented a baby boy who he reported was born from Cira La Motta, his wife, 22 yo, living in this same town and neighbourhood. The baby was born on 14 February 1821 at 8 pm in his parents own home and given the name Silvestre.

I'm understanding the right side of the page to be the baptism details. Baptised on 14 February 1821 in the Parish of Marineo.

Yes, I believe it is an error. They possibily intended to write "1800 ventuno". I've seen this in records before. I'm sure someone will chime in if they think differently.
