Help with marriage notation

Post by delfgill »

Hi Everyone,

I can translate the names, dates, church, etc. but need clarification as to the notice itself.

Does the notice state that the couple married in New York and requested their marriage be added to the Marsiconuovo register?

Or does it state that their original marriage certificate from Marsiconuovo was misplaced/lost and a copy was requested to be sent to New York.

I'm providing two different links to the same document:

From FS. Images 250-251: https://www.familysearch.org/records/im ... eView=true

From Ancestry. Pages 35-36: https://www.ancestry.com/imageviewer/co ... bel=Return

Thank you!
