The bride's name was Rosa Picarralla - although I think the correct spelling may be Picarella or it may be a completely different name? Checking through further records in the town will help you confirm the correct spelling. The birth record isn't a very clear read so hopefully someone else might check over it.

Birth Record of Rosa Picarralla
Registered in Marineo on 20 March 1861

Appearing was Pietro Antonio Picarralla, 43 yo, falegname, living in Marineo. He presented a baby girl and reported she was born yesterday from his wife Angelina? Civa, 35 yo, and from himself, the declarant, in their own home. She was given the name Rosa and was baptised the same day in the parish of Marineo.

Okay. Yes, this birth record definitely has the mother Rosa Ficarrotta.

Here's the marriage record for Salvatore D'Amato and Rosa: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... cc=2051639

The surname is much clearer than the birth record and the pubblication. Someone else can take a look for you It wasn't an easy read and that is possibly why it was left. I always give my best to try and decipher tricky script.

I've just pulled out an index with the surname Ficarotta on it: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... cc=2051639

I'm not sure it is the same handwriting though.

So here's another index and looking at the letters "F" in this index and also the name Ficarrotta, it does look very much like the letter F in both the birth record and also the marriage record.
