Josephus Rabor (Giuseepe), Ales. Alessandro Martini

Hello,

I have been trying to find information about my GGrandfather Giovanni Cergnul. I had his Baptism record translated and on there it said under godfather: Josephus Rabor and Ales. Martini. Suanj was the one to translate and she put that Josephus is Giuseppe and Ales. is Alessandro. If any has any information on either of these people please let me know. Thank You!

This isn't what you're looking for but it may be of some use. The 1920 census shows 2 families living in a rented residence in Franklin County, IL.

John Cergnul, age 24, born in Austria, immigrated 1914.
Dolly (wife), age 16, born in Indiana, father born in Italy, mother in Germany.

Second family:
Fabrio, Pete 35, born in Italy, immigrated 1914. (surmane spelling may be off)
Perina (wife) 25, born in Italy, immigrated 1915
Mary (daughter) 3 yrs 10 months, born in IL.
Rina (daughter) 1 yr 9 months.

Thank you I had seen the 1920 census but I had not noticed that their was two family living in one home! Could you send me a link to the census so I can take a look at it? I thank you for your help. Thank you Ditota for pointing out that John was sharing his residence with another family.. I had seen that census and had never realized that he shared a home..


Maria thank you for pointing out that Nuccia had already linked the census for me.. I have so much going on with the genealogy and my kids who seem to not want to get along anymore.. I can not wait until school.. I hope that yours are getting along better than mine are!

P.S. Maria I am having no luck trying the other manifests from around that date... I am not going to give up though. Do you think that I should maybe skip trying to locate the manifest and put my tim einto something else?

Hello Everyone,

I have just been informed that the person that was Giovanni's Godfather was Josephus Martini. I was not understanding what Suanj had said. I thought that the above names were two people and It wasn't. So, my above post of Josephus rabor and Alessandro Martini is incorrect it was agian only Josephus Martini. Sorry for the mix up!
