Hello. Can someone please interpret this death record for me. It is the Death record of Maria Bono. The record can be found at:
https://www.antenati.san.beniculturali. ... 03/Lpq8Yvq
Page 98.
I tried interpreting it myself and can interpret some of it but just can’t read a lot of it (ie: not sure what is written by Maria’s name).
Thank you so much..
Joe

died in her own house, wife of deceased Filippo Bujeri(?) Budjedi(?), age 80 (her age at death)

Thanks. The date at the top I believe is October 8, 1832. I could not read the dates by Maria's name. Was October 8, 1832 her death date? It looks like she was the daughter of Ciro Bono and Ignazia Cancilla.

The year of death is 1831 and yes died 8 0ctober. Surname of spouse looks to be Buje but more likely is Buie. Name with long I. Parents deceased.

This might help. You've run words together.darkerhorse wrote: 29 Jul 2022, 22:34 died in her own house, wife of deceased Filippo Bujeri(?) Budjedi(?), age 80 (her age at death)
"E morta nella sua casa Maria Bono moglie del fu Filippo Buje/Buie di anni ottanta"

Happy to help Joe. Only see evidence of the name Buie (dark) in white pages, none of Buje. Hopefully locating other records pertaining to
Maria and Filippo will help to determine correct spelling. Death records are usually the least accurate.
Take care.

Thanks again, that is helpful. I put together a spreadsheet of common words and some templates (birth, death, marriage) to help translate but I have such a hard time reading the writing.

You are always very welcome for the help, Joe. I think that's a really great idea keeping a list of words specific to the Italian civil records. I have done the same with Latin and Spanish. Reading the script, is the hardest part though, as you have found, and as soon as you have got use to one clerks particular script, a different clerk comes along and you start again. It's important to get it all correct though and people are always happy to help.
