First mtDNA results...

First mtDNA results...

Post by bmorocco »

I just got the first results from FT DNA. I am doing the FULL mtDNA and the Y-111. Still waiting on the Y.

mtDNA is reporting H7, but I am not sure how I can determine the "subclades." I admit I am just exploring the EUPEDIA site.

But I guess what I want to know if which of the several FamilyTree results pages have the most meat on the bone? I am trying to learn ONLY from their Help pages... but they are very trim and I start to feel like I'm on a double-talk carousel.
Should I focus most on the MUTATIONS page which lists differences from the Cambridge norm?
I only have one MATCH listed due to the mtDNA.

Maybe what I am asking for is a good intro textbook?

Thanks in advance and Happy Holidays!
