Where did Tomaso and Luigia die? Where and when did they get married?

They were born in Bovalino and died in Benestare Italy. Married around 1813. Had five children along the way.

I am in search of documents for Tomasso Allio, born 1790 to 1851. He was married to Luigia Blefari 1791 to 1879, they were both born in Bovalino Italy and passed away in Benestare Italy.

They had five children: Giuseppa Allio 1811 to 1841, Maria Giuseppa 1811, Maria Teresa 1817 to 1833, Francesco 1824, Giuseppa 1829.

I am searchng for Tomasso Allio,’s parents. Any info about them would be helpful.

In the Catasto Onciario of 1745 there is a Tommaso Allio. He is 15 years old in 1745. His parents are Franceso Antonio Allio and Teresa Tricarico. The registers of the parish of S. Nicola and the parish of Santa Maria Assunta no longer exist and in the books of the parish of Santa Caterina I do not find him.
This Tommaso might be the grandfather of your Tommaso.

According to the Stato di Famiglia in the Catasto, this family lived in the parish of S. Maria Assunta. From this parish no birth-, marriage-, or death register has survived.

So no records at that one church survived. Tomaso Allio's daughter was baptized at Chiesa Matrice S. Maria Della Misericordia, have you looked at that church?

The records of that church begin in 1856. According to people who know, the information was lost in the earthquake of 1783. I don't believe it. I have found too many indications that the books were simply thrown away as waste paper. The awareness of the importance of history in this part of Italy was rudimentary, I believe. I am sorry if I am too direct. It is not my intention to offend anyone.

Does not offend me. I am and have been for several years now in search of Tomaso Allio's parents and continue to look at every avenue I come across. I have been on the above link and am working with the as-na@beniculturali.it to obtain certain documents related to Tomaso Allio family. Working out the logistics.

Any other links you think might help would be appreciated. Going to Italy this coming September.

I am busy indexing what is left of Bovalino, but it is going slowly in the summer months. I hope for you that this Allio family are godfathers of children in the only parish with data from before the introduction of the civil registry, so that there will appear some clarity. Check my website every now and then to see how far the progress is.

So you reference a Tomasso as a grandfather to my Tomaso and all indications are he is the grandfather. Looking everywhere for the gap. Your site shows a Rachele Allio married to a Carlo Dama. I think she lived in the same household as my Tomasso at some point?
