Salerno Archives - website problems ?

It has been weeks, if not months that I can't get into the website for the State Archives of Salerno : archiviodistatosalerno.cultura.gov.it
My connection just times out

I know this has happened many times before. Is anyone else experiencing this, if so is there a workaround to contact them?


(also the Antenati portal is not functioning, again....)

The same thing happens to me with the link of L'aquila files, it doesn't work with any search engine. could you solve it?

I've just tried, and it works (the search in the "liste di leva" works, too)

Great, for now at least. Maybe has to do with their operating hours, seems to be down at night....

The site gives us the option to request documentation, interesting !
(The database results are similar to the other databases I verified....)

By the way, the Salerno Archives site does indeed become inaccessible every afternoon, at least where I am. Thus I must access it in early morning only. Strange

Yes, for all the Italian state archive sites, if you are not accessing with a VPN or from within Italy, you will not be able to see the site outside of Italian "business hours". This is probably due to some security changes implemented by the DGA after a massive online attack a couple of years back that disabled all the sites for several weeks.
