Appeal period after winning 1948 case and the wait time to obtain the courts decree

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Appeal period after winning 1948 case and the wait time to obtain the courts decree

Post by Rruffolo »

I won my 1948 court case 7 months ago but my attorney has not yet obtained the official copy of the court decree.

It seems I read that the appeal period is 6 months and other times I have read the appeal period is 60 days.

Does anyone know how long the actual appeal period is and does anyone know how long it takes to get the court's official decree after a 1948 case has been won?

The 6 month mandatory time period which is mentioned by many people is obviously not true; I obtained my final irrevocable judgment in a little over 3 months after my hearing date. Although it does seem that most people have to wait more than 6 months.

I think that the number of petitioners definitely impacts the wait time (I was the sole petitioner). Another thing that really delays things is if any errors are present on the initial judgment.
