name of death record

Post by dmt1955 »

these are two 1811 death records from Volturara Irpino of my 6th great uncles. What I am having difficulty with is their mother's (my 6th GGmother) first name, surname is Marra.

Any thoughts on what it could be is greatly appreciated.

The script isn't very clear and they both look to have different spellings anyway. I'm pretty sure they both start with an E. Maybe:

Emelia (No 41)
Elesia ( No 61)

It's quite possible that those registering the deaths didn't know the mother's given name
