In the record it just says Torino. On searching the surname Ternavazio, which doesn't seem to be such a common name, it does still have a presence in Piedmonte regione, so my thinking is that it probably is Torino, Piedmonte. (I did however notice there are little hamlets that start with the name Torino in Chieti, and elsewhere.)
Here is the translation for Francesco and Carmela's marriage:
Marriage No 37: Francesco Ternavazio and Carmela della Bruna
Promise dated 12 April 1862, town of Avellino
Right-Side: Married in the Cathedral (Cattedrale) , 13 April 1862
Groom: Francesco Ternavazio, 26 yo, born in Torino (Turin, Piedmont?), Negoziante, living in Avellino, son of Michele (Ternavazio), a Negoziante, and of the deceased Anna Donadio.
Bride: Carmela della Bruna, 19 yo, born in Capriglia, but living in Avellino, daughter of the deceased Modestino (della Bruna) and of Carolina Evangelista, living in Avellino.
(If I’m interpreting correctly, I’m understanding that a Federico della Bruna, a Procuratore (an attorney acting on Carmela’s behalf) was also present.)
Amongst the allegati, (which unfortunately are not currently online) presented were:
The birth records of groom and bride
Death Act of the groom’s mother
Act of Procura of the bride
Act of Consent of the bride’s mother
Death Acts of the bride’s father and paternal grandfather.
Etc.

Re: Ternavasio Death Record 1876
You are very welcome, Christine.
I noticed that while the records spell the surname Ternavazio, in this marriage record and also another record that I've just translated for 1867 birth of son Raffaele, Francesco signs his name Ternavassio. (And you have been using the spelling of Ternavasio) I haven't checked any other records as yet. Just thought I'd mention it in case you are wanting to research the family further back to Torino. Currently there seem to be limited records on line though. It would also be interesting to know what merchandise was sold, whether it was a business that began in Torino etc.
Edit to Add: I just checked Family Search and there are much more records there now for Torino, including Church Records.

Here:

I read that Michele Ternavasio was a "chincagliere" in Avellino in 1894.
It was 30 years later...Just in case it was a family business

Great find, Pippo. I was going to suggest researching newspapers, which I often do locally, but I've seldom been able to do it successfully in Italia.

Re: Ternavasio Death Record 1876
Thanks so much for finding out all this information for me! The surname Ternavasio was my Great grandmother Concetta’s maiden name, and it was spelled with an 1 s on her death certificate from New Haven CT.
I’m not sure who the Michele Ternavasio you found is how we are related. I’m still in the process of researching that branch of my family.
I really appreciate all the help, I may need more as I find more records.
