That makes sense since you can only see and edit your own posts...
But if you check the other threads in the other topic sections you may not have an edit icon at all...Did I just make sense there? I'd hate to have to edit this after I post..
It could be this:
A Moderator is given an 'edit facility' for ALL posts, regardless of who they are from.
Ordinary - (in the 'nicest possible sense') - members will only have the 'edit' button on their OWN posts. An ordinary member may not edit another's posts.
Some sites remove the option for everyone. Yet others put a time limit (often 30 mins) on the facility.
Any of the above could be an explanation of 'WHY'?
