My ancestors came from Villa Latina, Frosinone, Lazio, Italy. I’ve been able to trace them prior to 1865 on Antenati but need crucial records after that date.
Specifically, I’m looking for a marriage record from 1874-1875 and three birth records from 1876, 1879, and 1885. There were probably more children born to this family during that time period that did not survive.
The family left Villa Latina by May 1887 and then lived in Roubaix, Nord, Hauts-de-France, France. They immigrated to the United States in 1893.
In October 2023, I wrote an email to the commune in Villa Latina requesting these records. (It was in Italian with the help of Google Translate.) To date I have heard nothing. Someone on Facebook said that Cassino had a waiting period of at least 6 months to get records. I'm wondering if this applies to all communes. Should I continue to be patient or should I attempt another method to secure these records?
Thanks so much for any assistance.

Re: Villa Latina
Hi, I'm from Villa Latina and I deal with genealogy, unfortunately as far as I know the municipality of Villa Latina doesn't respond to emails so I advise you to contact the state archive of Frosinone, I think they will definitely help you to find what you're looking for. If you are interested in finding your other ancestors from Villa Latina you can visit my family tree: https://gw.geneanet.org/francescotusei?lang=it

Re: Villa Latina
The State Archives records are all on line so if you didn't find what you need there then you need someone to go to the office (or the parish) and search for what you need.
We have lots of experience in that town and the parish has a census that was written in 1832 and updated for the next 70 years or so.
My Frosinone book (link is below) will tell you what records are available and where they can be found.

Re: Villa Latina
Hi, Jannie.
I note you didn't get an answer to your query about records after 1865. I have the same problem.
Records from 1833 to 1865 are readily available online and I think before that Villa Latina records are available under Atina. From 1866 records were moved to Civil records which are handwritten but I can't find anywhere to access records for Villa Latina.
Frosinone appears as a region in civil records but Atina and VL don't appear as a locality. Can you let me know if you got any further info on this, please.
