Atto di Nascita handwritten

Post by michael.wirth312 »

I am able to read the printed text but I can only make out about half of the handwritten parts of my Great Grandmother's (Carmela Fermo) Atto di Nascita. If anyone can help me out with reading this I would greatly appreciate it!

Welcome to the forum!

Birth No 102 – Carmela Fermo

Registered in Tito on 27 August 1899

Appearing was Angelo Fermo, 34 yo, a fornaio (baker), living in Tito who reported that at 6 am on 25 of the current month (ie 25 August 1899), in the house in Via Meridionale, from Maria Stella, a contadina, the legitimate wife of the declarant, living with him, was born a baby girl (a baby of female sex) who he presented to me, and gave the name of Carmela.

The other names there at the base of the record are just the witnesses to the registration and presentation of the baby, who were both illiterate so only the official signed the document.
