Deciphering a stato delle anime from 1800s

Post by CJMAKH »

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to trace back my Italian ancestry which dates back to the 1800s and I finally got my hands on a document from the archives of the archbishop in Palestine. I can't for the life of me decipher the document and I'm looking for help.

I would like to know if this document is even relevant for my search. On the margin of the page on the left there's a name "Calil Maglaton" which is the name of my great grandfather which makes me believe that it's the correct document. I want to understand if this document has the name of his wife who is my Italian grandmother.

Thank you so much for your help.

Best,
Christine

This is a marriage record dated 16 Aug 1874 and unfortunately not a very good resolution image.
Groom is Habib son of deceased Calil Maglatun; no mother named; Greek Catholic
Bride is Carime daughter of deceased Hanna(?) Anfora; no father named; Greek schismatic

Both reconciled with the Roman Catholic Church
