Looking to Hire an Italian In the Environs of Genoa for jus sanguinis

Post by MaddalenaNYC »

If it is against the rules of the Forum for me to seek out an Italian to help me obtain my Italian family’s Italian records then I apologize and will delete this post

After twenty years, I am nearly at the end of compiling all of the necessary documents for the Italian Consulate.

I know, from interacting with this forum and the great help that I have received, that all are trustworthy here.

I believe that the Italian records I seek are all in Neirone; Birth, Marriage and Death Acts are in order.

I have received confirmation of same as so many on this forum took the time and trouble to research those Acts online.

The Italian records should be solid.

I’m having a mad crazy time with Vital Records in NYC as so many mistakes were made in Italian last and first name spellings on those documents, particularly when some of my ancestors did not speak English and could neither read nor write in any language.

NYC birth records after 1909 are not in the public domain.

But I’m on a steady path to receive same even if I must go to Court to do so. I can handle it.

What I need is a local researcher in Genoa or nearby to collect my family’s records in Neirone and to have them transcribed to hard copies and completed according to the rules of jus sanguinis to present to the Italian Consulate here in NYC.

Has anyone here employed same?

I had worked in law in the States for many years and it is my opinion, when one goes before a US judge, “more is more”. The more documents one has, the better.

So the Italian documents would not only be the correct documents to present to the Italian Consulate in future, but those documents would also, collaterally bolster my case in an NYC court.

Thank you all for any and all replies

Please explain better:
You need the papers of only one ancestor from Neirone or also other relatives? Of which year?
Before 1866 you need paprrs from the parish and diocese.

I need the papers of my great grandparents, Pietro Luigi Gardella born Neirone in 1850. Died in Neirone in 1916.

I need the papers of his wife Maria Louisa Biggi born in Santo Stefano d’Aveta circa 1855.

I have internet copies of some of these records but I will need formal copies to apply for citizenship.

Thank you for your reply.

I also have internet copies of their marriage act and the birth act of my grandfather as although my grandfather had been born in Detroit in 1875, his US birth was registered in Neirone in 1883.
