We have quite a few posts on here surrounding our surname, but I have not been able to directly get a hold of anyone to speak with. I am very thankful to those admins who have assisted in locating our families information, but I would also like to speak with some other Zambrotta’s to fill in some gaps here in the states. We apparently have a lot of familial connections that have gone to the wayside, and I would like to remedy that. So if anyone would like to talk, please let me know who all is still on this site, and hopefully we can compare notes.
My name is Domenico Zambrotta, and my father was Kenneth Zambrotta, his father was Domenico Zambrotta, his father was Sabatino Zambrotta, and his father was Sabino Zambrotta, and his mother was Caterina Citerà…..the region of interest is Sanza Italy, the Provence of Salerno.
Sabatino my great grandfather was the first to come to America and he had 4 sons, Giuseppe, Demetrio, Domenico (my nonno), and Sabato. Sabatinos wife was Antonina Antonucci.
I have more information that this, but just wanted to give a short synopsis, as it appears there are direct bloodline Zambrotta family, but after extensive research it appears there are a family of Zambrotta who may have kept a last name after marriage, but do not share familial ties, and that’s what I’m trying to figure out.
