Hello
My great grandfather was born in Potenza Italy. His name was Saverio Mazzeo. I am looking for any information on how to access any information or records there may be about him or any other family as well. He immigrated to New York at some point and married my great grandma. I have a few pictures of him holding me as a baby. We are planning another trip to Italy and thought it would be fun to visit Potenza and gather any family ancestory that we could before we went. Any tips or information would be greatly appreciated… I have never done a genealogy search …. Would ancestory .com be the way to go? Thanks so much.
Birth record great grandfather
Re: Birth record great grandfather
Two main questions: was he from the town of Potenza, or from some village around it? When was he born?
