Headstone Transcription - Caterina Culotta

Post by London82 »

I don't believe this was transcribed correctly on Findagrave. This should have been added as Caterina Culotta - wife of Diego "Dick" Culotta. What is her maiden name on the headstone?
She's from Messina, Italy.. does anyone know which name would be the correct spelling?

Caterina MaUore?
Caterina MaJore?

The surname Majore is very rare but it does exist in Messina so this should be the correct spelling.

Majore, I agree. But not found in Messina registers for birth in 1845.
